As our owner and CFO, Jamie comes to health Xpress medical center as a retired paramedic of 15 years. He is also an Army veteran who served with the 82nd Airborne Division as an Infantry Paratrooper. During his time in the service, Jamie received a Purple Heart. Jamie understands the importance of quality care and is ready to help with your medical care needs. When not at work, Jamie enjoys time with his wife, walking his dogs Xena and Ares, and working on his hot rod.

As our owner and Family Nurse Practitioner, Cristy O'Connell is committed to patient care and advocacy. Cristy has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for several years with experience in emergency medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, urgent and primary care. Cristy is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, as well as a member of the organization. Prior to opening Health Xpress Medical Center, Cristy was the CEO and Family Nurse Practitioner of an Urgent and Primary care clinic. She also has taught nursing school clinical for both RN and NP students. Before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Cristy worked as a full-time Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. Outside of the clinic, Cristy enjoys spending time with her husband, her dog Xena and Ares, exercising, and going on bike rides.

Cristina is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with specialization in Family Medicine and Urgent Care, holding certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). With a career spanning over a decade in the healthcare field, Cristina has accumulated extensive experience across various specialties. For the past four years, she has been dedicated to providing comprehensive care in both Primary Care and Urgent Care settings.
Prior to her focus on Family Medicine and Urgent Care, Cristina spent the majority of her career in Emergency Medicine and Trauma. This background has equipped her with invaluable skills in managing critical situations and providing timely interventions. Furthermore, Cristina possesses expertise in a wide range of specialties including: Intensive Care (ICU), Respiratory Trauma, Orthopedics, Surgery, Medical Surgical, Outpatient Rehabilitation, and Home Health.
Beyond her clinical practice, Cristina is deeply committed to education, having served as a clinical instructor for Nursing Students and Nurse Practitioner Students for over five years. Her dedication to nurturing future healthcare professionals underscores her passion for sharing knowledge and fostering growth within the healthcare community.

Cara is an impressive individual with a rich and diverse background. Her journey from serving in the Army, both active duty and the National Guard, to becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner demonstrates her dedication to both her country and her community's health. Her experience in various nursing roles, from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to the Emergency Room (ER), has provided her with invaluable skills and insights that undoubtedly enhance her ability to provide quality care to her patients.

Her commitment to education is evident in her pursuit of advanced degrees and certifications, as well as her experience as a clinical professor. By educating the future generation of nurses, she is contributing to the continued excellence of the healthcare profession. She received her Associate’s in Liberal Arts in 2013 from Blackhawk College and then her Associate’s in Nursing in 2016 from Trinity College of Nursing. From there, in 2017 she graduated with her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Governors State University. Moving forward, her Master’s in Nursing Education was obtained from Western Governors University in 2021. Most recently, a Post-Master’s certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner was completed in 2024 at Purdue University.

Salima is a Las Vegas born-and-raised Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in aesthetics and plastic surgery. She is especially passionate about preventative and holistic care and believes it is important for a patient and provider to work as a team. She is deeply committed to providing comprehensive and high quality care with personalized treatment plans tailored to her patients’ unique needs.

Outside of her practice, Salima is a passionate travel enthusiast who enjoys exploring new cultures and experiencing diverse landscapes around the world. Through her travels, she gains valuable insights and perspectives that enrich her approach to patient care, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual she encounters.

Maria is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) with a specialization in Family Nurse Practice. She is deeply committed to advocating for unbiased, compassionate, and holistic care, ensuring that all individuals receive high-quality, patient-centered service. Her extensive experience spanning home health, long-term care, acute care, intermediate care, and critical care over the past 12 years has served as the foundation for her to pursue continuing education. Her dedication to advancing her education enables her to better serve a wide range of patient populations and uphold the highest standards of care as a trusted healthcare provider.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Maria prioritizes family bonding through activities such as travel and culinary exploration.

Aurora is one of our lead back assistants and is able to help with any billing, scheduling or medical questions you may have. Aurora has been CPR and First Aid Certified since she was 12 years old. She worked as a Lifeguard for 5 years and went to South East Career and Technical Academy for Sports Medicine. She is currently attending the College of Southern Nevada in hopes for receiving her degree to become an ER Nurse. Aurora has a real passion for the medical field and strives to be the best in everything she does. When Aurora isn't working she loves to read her books and spend time with her cats.

Gabriel joins Health Xpress Medical Center as our lab technician, as well as working at the front desk. Being in both the front and back office, he is able to help with any of your questions about billing, testing, appointments, and so on. He has experience with patients and has a passion for helping others. He likes to use alternative medicine options for his everyday health. Gabriel currently attends UNLV for their nursing program. He is hoping that after he graduates he can study acupuncture. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his two kittens.

Kristen Gutierrez was born and raised in Las Vegas and has been happily married for 16 years. She is a proud mom of two wonderful kiddos - a 15-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son - and together they make up the vibrant Gutierrez crew. When she's not busy working, Kristen enjoys unwinding with her beloved pets, cheering on her favorite hockey team (Go Knights Go!), and watching all kinds of sports, especially baseball. Her passion for cars is also no secret; in fact, she loves to get lost in the world of car-related hobbies. Kristen looks forward to helping you!

Savannah joins the Health Xpress Medical Center Team as our lead Medical Receptionist. She was born and raised in Las Vegas and is currently attending school to become a registered nurse. After graduating from school, she would like to specialize in pediatric oncology. When Savannah is not working or going to school, she likes to travel and spend time with her family.

Jennifer Hernandez has dedicated her career to the medical field since 2006, starting as a medical assistant before becoming a licensed practical nurse (LPN). Her passion for nursing and patient care has been a driving force in her professional life. Jennifer takes great pride in educating patients about their health, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
Always eager to expand her knowledge, Jennifer stays abreast of the latest advancements in medicine. Her commitment to continuous learning reflects her aspirations to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in the future.

Jackson Truong is a dedicated individual with a passion for healthcare. With a keen interest in understanding the intricacies of the human body and its movement, he is currently pursuing a major in kinesiology and a minor in biology at UNLV. Jackson's academic pursuits are fueled by his aspiration to become a physician assistant specializing in orthopedics. His goal is to combine his expertise in kinesiology with his medical training to provide comprehensive care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life. Outside of his academic and professional endeavors, Jackson values his time with family and friends.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Daniel Lemus has always had a passion for the medical field. Currently, Daniel is a proud new hire at Health Xpress Medical Center, where he continues to apply his medical expertise and dedication to patient care.

Daniel's aspirations do not stop here; he plans to return to PMI to study and become a radiologic technologist, further expanding his skills and knowledge in the medical profession.

In addition to his professional achievements, Daniel has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Barra for the past five years, showcasing his commitment and discipline both inside and outside the medical field.

Born and raised in Las Vegas Abby has always been passionate about the medical field. She served as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy for five years stationed in San Diego CA, working in the ICU as well as cardiology and has done two humanitarian deployments onboard the USNS Mercy. Abby is currently attending nursing school and with hopes to become a critical care nurse. Outside of Abby’s professional life she enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, reading, and painting .

Aliana Persin, originally from the Bay Area and now residing in Henderson, brings a rich background in dance, encompassing 12 years across various styles, demonstrating her commitment and artistic appreciation. Her high school years ignited a fervent interest in American Sign Language (ASL), fostering enhanced communication skills and a deep commitment to inclusivity. Outside of work, her life is centered around her large family and the bustling Vegas nightlife, reflecting her outgoing nature. Aliana's passion for making a meaningful impact on others' lives is evident through her involvement in community service, blending her interests and personal values to contribute positively to society.

Joey is a fresh face in the medical field, eager to immerse himself in the dynamic and rewarding world of healthcare. Brittni Dials is an experienced and passionate Certified Nursing Assistant from Lansing, Michigan. She currently resides in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her family – her husband, daughter Olivia and son Owen. For over 10+ years she has served as a CNA/HHA providing care for those in need, including several years of experience with Hospice Care. In her free time, Brittni enjoys traveling and experiencing new places, reading uplifting books, watching movies, and spending time on all things Disney!
